How did you feel when you woke up on the morning of the shoot day?

There was no doubt that on the morning of our shoot day I was nervous, but I was excited at the same time. I did feel nervous about the day only because I wanted it to turn out as good as my group and myself knew it would. We did worry because a few people had dropped out a day before the shoot, but even though this happened I knew that everything would be okay and the whole day would go exceptionally well. There were worries about how many people would actually end up coming but I knew that we could work around that.

From the morning: Worrying about whether it will go okay, stressing about every detail within the shoot and running around getting everything sorted.

To: During the shoot and when it was done. I was very happy with the outcome of the shoot and because everyone was enjoying themselves and everything was working, made not only me happy but the rest of the group too.

What did you do the day before, to set up for your shoot day?

The day before my media shoot, myself and my group headed over to B-WEBB to set up for our shoot. There were various things that we wanted to sort out before we film so that we can go straight into rehearsing on the day. We set up the following things:

-          Candles

-     Room for orchestra

-          Table where food will be placed

-          Bar

-          Lighting

We didn’t blow up the balloons or lay the fruit out because there would be students going back to their boarding house that night and we didn’t want anything that could be played with broken. After we set out all of these aspects we hid them away so that the next day we knew exactly what we were going to do. But we did keep the lighting and the bar up because that would take too long to set up the next day.

This was an efficient way of dealing with the set up of our shoot because once we had everything we needed and knew where we wanted it all, the next day we went in and set up as soon as possible and then rehearsals started.

Change Of Location

Originally we were set to shoot at Lieth Hill, which is owned by the National Trust. However, there were large issues that came along with the house which eventually meant that we could no longer shoot there. So, we decided that Beatrice Webb House (BWEBB) was the best location other then Lieth Hill, it also means that more of the things that we were wanting to do at Lieth Hill, like fireworks, but were told we couldn't, now means this is a possibility. Even though the layout of BWEBB isn't as good as Lieth Hill, we know that we will still be able to film a great video and work around any small challenges we have to. Below is an image of the house fro the outside.

Target Audience

Luke Higgins is quite a versatile artist, he appeals to young girls aged 16 all the way to adults, people aged around 24. His music brings calm to people and allows people to be swept away in his song with his voice. Because Luke Higgins hasn't got any official music videos, we have chosen to study, in terms of target audience, an artist similar to him.

Jack Johnson

Johnson manages to attract millions of people, this is because his music isn't just for people of younger ages, which is what most artists nowadays try to attract. He writes his music so that people of all ages and of both genders can connect with it. Girls are more drawn into his music because he is a young
good looking man who has an impeccable voice. You would never see people who are interested in music genres like grunge or rock at Jack Johnson's concerts or at Higgins. Below are images of people at his concert and you can clearly see how the majority of his audience is female, and the ages range from as young as around 5 to any age. His music is clearly targeted at people of a carefree and music loving spirit and he is able to easily relate to people with these characteristics. People feel like they can relate to him as a person because in his lyrics they feel like he is exactly like them, girls, especially, enjoy his music because of his funny, caring and endearing songs. The reason why we have related him to Luke is because they give off the same spirit in their songs as each other and you can easily tell that they care more about their
music then the image they give off.

Below are examples of Jack Johnson's fans, giving a clear idea of his target audience.

Below is Jack Johnson's song Better Together.
